Lluvia sobre el jardín

Rain on the garden

It’s literal, when you see the world with a good attitude, it’s like watching the rain fall in a forest with a beautiful lake. You see the colors through the rain.

Buscando orden

Searching for order

This painting represents my search for identity with my city, Bogota, where it is difficult to find order in its architecture. Things are just there, without control, without order, without logic.

About

MORENA

Martha Elizabeth Moreno was born on May 8, 1973 in the city of Barbosa Santander, Colombia, she was born in Barbosa due to her father’s job but then when she was five years old they moved to Bogota, the capital city of Colombia.
Emotions, feelings, I paint when I feel happy or motivated, my style is free, a pure expressionism of freedom and expression of feelings.

Official Signature

My stage name, Morena, came from my last name, Moreno. I wanted a name that would evoke feminism and make it clear that the artist is a woman. Experimenting with letters, I decided to change the “o” for an “a”, thus creating “Morena”, a name that I loved from the beginning. In addition, Morena not only honors my father’s last name, but also celebrates the essentially Latin American skin color, representing my identity and cultural roots.
